Winter Carnival

Winter Carnival is a tradition that dates back to 1930, Winter Carnival offers outdoor and indoor activities, including human dog sled races, ice-carvings, chili cook-offs, snow sculptures, and other events that coincide with Syracuse Winterfest.

Monday, Feb 17

Winter Carnival Days, 11am-2pm, Schine Atrium.  Giveaways, free stuff, food and fun!  Bring in a non-perishable food item to support the Hendricks Chapel Food Bank.

Wednesday, Feb 19

SU v. Boston College, 7pm, Carrier Dome

University Union Performing Arts Presents: College Humor Live.  Hosted by Jake Hurwitz & Amir Blumenfeld, featuring Streeter Seidell and Dan Gurewitch.  Goldstein Auditorium, doors at 7:15, show at 8:00.  $5 for SU/ESF students, faculty & staff in the Schine Box Office on 1/21

Trivia Night sponsored by Traditions Commission, 9pm (when the game ends), Schine 304’s, FREE-no tickets needed, get your team of 2-4 people together to win great prizes and eat snacks all while proving how much smarter you are than the other teams!

Thursday, Feb 20

Chili cook off, 11am until it’s gone!  HBC Patio.  FREE CHILI TASTING!  Submit a recipe HERE

Cozy Cappella, presented by the A Cappella Council, 8:30pm, Schine Goldstein Auditorium, free tickets available at Schine Box Office.  Free hot chocolate and cookies. Donations will be accepted at the door to benefit the Special Olympics of Central New York.

Friday, Feb 21

Totally Fabulous XI Drag Show presented by Pride Union, 8 pm, Goldstein Auditorium, $5 students, faculty, and staff with SUID, $7 general public, tickets available at Schine Box Office

Glow in the Dark Late Night Skate Night, 9pm-midnight, Tennity Ice Pavilion on South Campus, free skate rental and entry, hot chocolate, giveaways

Saturday, Feb 22

SU vs. Duke game viewing, 6pm, Schine 304s, FREE! Come watch the SU Basketball team take on the Duke Blue Devils in the Cameron Indoor Stadium. FREE food and giveaways while they last!

Laser Tag, 8pm-12am, Goldstein Auditorium, FREE! Bring your friends to play a few rounds of Laser Tag and watch primetime Olympic Games coverage on our big screens in the 304s while you wait.
