Meet our fabulous students!

Michael Bright

Michael Bright

Michael is from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, and is a member of the graduating class of 2021. He is a student in the Whitman School of Management. In addition to his involvement with Orange After Dark, he is also a Resident Advisor in Day Hall. He joined the Event Board because he loved attending the program's events during his freshman year (most notably the Black Panther movie premiere) and loves the concept of offering unique, alternative experiences to students on the weekend.

Sujean GahngSujean Gahng

Sujean is from Princeton, New Jersey and is a member of the class of 2022. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Computer Art and Animation in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, and minoring in Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. As a first year student, Sujean looks forward to getting involved on campus through OAD by planning and executing inclusive and accessible events.

Ryan HouckRyan Houck

Ryan came to SU from Easton, PA. He is a member of the class of 2020, currently majoring in Accounting CPA and Finance at the Whitman School of Management. Ryan is also minoring in Information Management and Technology. This is Ryan’s fourth semester on the board. His first Orange After Dark Event was the Finding Dory Screening and since that event he has been really interested in the OAD Program. He is looking forward to working with the board to help produce events that will be entertaining and a great experience for the entire student body. In addition to being on the Orange After Dark Event Board, Ryan serves as President of the Xi Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, Syracuse's Professional Accounting and Finance Fraternity.


Justine Legg

Justine Legg

Justine Legg is from San Antonio, Texas and is a member of the Class of 2020. She is a student in The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs studying Political Science, Policy Studies, and Citizenship & Civic Engagement. In addition to being a member of the Event Board for Orange After Dark, she is an SU Literacy Corps tutor at Dr. King School and an intern in the Mary Ann Shaw Center for Public and Community Service. Justine has been on the Event Board since Fall 2017 and enjoys working as a group to create fun, inclusive and diverse experiences for SU students.

Jackie MurrerJackie Murrer

I am from Oxford, NY, and I'm in the graduating class of 2021. I'm an International Relations major in the College of Arts and Sciences. In addition to OAD, I am also a cast member of DanceWorks! I joined the OAD Board to help organize and plan fun events for students on and off campus. I hope to get more students to attend OAD events and help the program grow!



Sarah SchroderSarah Schroder

Sarah is a senior from Avondale, PA, pursuing BAs in International Relations and Political Science, and minoring in Spanish. As a Resident Advisor for the International Relations Learning Community in Day Hall, Sarah volunteered at OAD events last year and encouraged her residents to attend them themselves. Sarah hopes to continue to engage first year students and help make their first experience at Syracuse University a good one.

My name is Gabriela Susana and I’m a Neuroscience/Psychology (Pre-med) student here at Syracuse University. I am originally from the Dominican Republic and moved to the states just before college started. I am currently a junior and I’m interested in joining OAD because I like working the behind the scenes of events and providing students with interesting activities to be part of.

Brittney WilliamsBrittney Williams

Brittney is from a city called Rancho Cucamonga in Southern California and is a member of the class of 2020. She majors in Television, Radio, Film in Newhouse and minors in Communication and Rhetorical Studies in V.P.A. Along with being a part of Orange After Dark, she is also a Main Desk Assistant in Ernie Davis Residence Hall, and a host on Syracuse's Z89 radio station. She is looking forward to helping create amazing events with the board, for the entire student body to enjoy.

 Kaleigh YoungKaleigh Young

Kaleigh is from Liverpool, New York and grew up loving the Syracuse community. She is a member of the class of 2020 and is studying Biology and Neuroscience in the College of Arts and Sciences. Since her freshman year, Kaleigh has been involved with Orange After Dark as an avid volunteer, and joined the board with hopes of enhancing the college experience for students. She aims to expand the program's popularity among undergraduates and make the program a staple of Syracuse University. Go Orange!

Orange After Dark recruits undergraduate students from all class years and majors through an application and interview process to become Event Board members. We look for students who are interested in helping create, plan, execute, and assess our late night events. Responsibilities include coordinating event logistics and marketing and working at OAD events.
